Welcome to Fulshaw Probus Club
We meet fortnightly to chat, take coffee and hear presentations.
Presentations cover a diverse range of topics. There is a question and answer session after each talk. Some members then go on to have lunch together at a local hostelry.
We have regular groups for members who are active in bowling, walking and computing.
The club supports any group of members with common interests. Our bowlers bowl twice weekly throughout the year - crown green in summer and short mat in the winter. The walkers meet regularly for a leisurely stroll usually ending at a hostelry for refreshments. The computer group share experiences and support each other when problems occur.
We arrange trips out that can be either day outings or longer breaks.
Trips include visits to factories, museums, gardens, and regular trips to Prestatyn for long mat bowling and lunch. Short breaks are arranged from time to time for members and partners.
We hold several special events throughout the year.
We have several annual events such as Christmas and Annual Lunches. We also hold a Spring Coffee Morning, a Summer Barbecue and an Autumn Hot Pot Supper.
We are a self-help organisation.
All members accept the need to hold office in support of the club: the roles of Vice Chairman and Chairman are passed on annually and the Committee meets bi-monthly. On an individual basis, for any member in need there is someone to turn to for information and advice.
