The Billy Club Puppets
by
Federico Garcia Lorca
7th July 1999
Director: Julie Ward
Assisted by Duncan Walker
There is a deliberate ambiguity about this roisterous farce implanted by the author: should it be played by persons acting like puppets, which has been the usual procedure, or by puppets acting like humans. Either way it's wide open fun, pitting three men for the love of a young maid who can't make up her mind.
